SP-API MCP Server Built with Claude Code
Connect Claude to my own Seller Central data so I can ask questions in plain words
“he has automated 80% of the brand's operations”

Copy-paste prompt
I have SP-API developer credentials for my own seller account. Help me build a small read-only MCP server in TypeScript that exposes: sales by ASIN for a date range, FBA inventory, open orders, catalog item details and settlement summaries. Handle token refresh, rate limits, pagination and async report polling. Pin every dependency version, keep credentials in environment variables, and don't add any write endpoints.
The source didn't publish its exact prompt. We wrote this starter so you can try the same workflow. Replace anything in [brackets].
What they did
Mansour Norouzi says Claude, Claude Cowork and Claude Code are the core of how he runs his supplement brand: weekly sales dashboards with week-over-week and year-over-year comparisons, search term analysis with ad data layered in, promotion-stacking analysis to catch margin erosion, FBA inventory alerts and restock triggers, and monthly checkups and search term reports scheduled in Cowork. Because Amazon's SP-API had no MCP server, he built one with no coding experience: TypeScript and Node.js, 20 tools across sales, inventory, orders, catalog, financials and Brand Analytics, published on GitHub.
How it went
He says he has automated 80% of the brand's operations, and that asking Claude 'show me my sales for the last 7 days' now 'just works.' A commenter flagged compromised versions of the axios package; his post says it was already patched.
We only report what the source says. Results are self-reported unless noted.
Worth knowing
You need your own SP-API developer access. The axios warning is the real lesson: a server holding your refresh token and client secret is a target, so pin and check dependencies. Another commenter notes you can reach SP-API with plain scripts and no MCP server.
