Campaign set A is running at about 60% ACOS with flat sales and set B at about 80% ACOS with growing sales. Using the last 60 days of search term data, find the keywords and close variants whose spend or sales moved between campaigns, and show where each one is converting best. Recommend where to keep each keyword and where to add it as a negative.

What they did

Paula Lambert, senior director of marketplaces at the agency Emplicit, uses Intentwise's AI-driven What Changed report to explain ad performance swings. One brand saw flat sales at 60% ACOS but growth at 80% ACOS; the report traced the swings to one keyword and its variations migrating into different targeting, and her team isolated it in a few campaigns by adding it as a negative to the others. Emplicit also reads this data in Claude through Intentwise's AI Gateway MCP and can take advertising actions from there.

How it went

The case study reports ACOS improving by 10 percentage points for some campaigns while sales grew, and 2 hours a day saved on what-I-did client notes for high-spend accounts. Lambert says: '90% of the time, our team is not even going into the ads console.'

For each client account, list every campaign where average CPC in the last 7 days is more than double its 30-day average. For each one, check: placement bid adjustments (top of search, product pages), and any non-brand search terms showing up in campaigns named as branded. Give me a table of campaign, CPC change, likely cause and the fix.
