Turning APIs into CLIs and Skills for Seller Central and Ads with Claude Code
Have Claude Code wrap an API in a command-line tool and skill for back-office and ads work
He gives no numbers.

Copy-paste prompt
Read [library repo] and the Amazon [Ads / SP-API] reference for [endpoints I need]. Build a CLI with read-only commands first: [list campaigns, pull search term report, get FBA inventory]. Then write a skill that explains when to call each command. Don't add any command that changes bids, budgets or listings until I ask.
The source didn't publish its exact prompt. We wrote this starter so you can try the same workflow. Replace anything in [brackets].
What they did
Nick Spisak, who says he owns a multi-seven-figure Amazon business, describes using Claude Code with @mvanhorn's 'printing press' library from GitHub: give Claude Code the repo as context, tell it to ingest an API, and it produces both a CLI and a skill. He says his business uses it for Seller Central back-office work and inventory planning, and for Amazon ads management.
How it went
He gives no numbers. He also used it to write his own CLI for another API because that vendor's MCP server didn't cover the full API.

Worth knowing
He sells AI consulting to business owners. The post shows the approach, not the setup, so expect to supply your own API credentials and review what the generated CLI can change before letting a skill call it.
